Taylor-Winfield automatic set up and control systems make it possible to add sophisticated electromechanical control or fully automate the coil joining function of any strip
processing line.
The basic Accu-Con Systems 12 & 24 consist of a console containing a series of weld schedule setup switches for setting all weld parameters. The more advanced Weldwise 2000 offers the
added capability of programmable control or computer interfacing -- thus eliminating the need for operator input.
An added feature of the Accu-Con Systems 12 & 24 permits automatic selection of one of 12
(or 24) weld schedules by rotating a single selector switch.
Taylor-Winfield's Automatic Control Systems were first applied to flash-butt welding applications in steel mill pickle lines, continuous cold
mills, and coil build-up lines. Now, Taylor-Winfield technology has expanded the principle to all types of coil joining equipment and any continuous processing line.
