Coil Width: Up to 80" (2030 mm)
Coil Thickness: Up to .250" (6.3 mm)
Applications: Spot welding is the most basic and generally the most
economical of all resistance welding techniques and lends itself to many forms of mechanization and automation. It can be used where speed is not a critical factor, double-thick lapped joints are
acceptable, and normal electrode maintenance time is tolerated.
Description: Taylor-Winfield has produced hundreds of spot welders with widely varying capabilities to meet a broad range of
processing requirements. The machines pictured below represent the most popular machines.
Manually Traversed This machine is a manually traversed air operated welding unit consisting of two
spot welding guns and transformer. Air operated strip clamps and optional strip centering devices are illustrated. Electrode arrangements available permit series welds for thin gauges of strip, or
indirect welds, suitable for steel strip up to approximately .125" (3.2 mm) in widths of 15" to 80" (380 to 2030 mm).
