Over a Century of Excellence
Taylor-Winfield started in 1882 as a small sheet metal fabricator. As the company expanded its metal fabricating operations new electric resistance welding techniques were developed that led to the company's emergence into the market as a manufacturer of this equipment. In 1905, the company designed and built one of the first electrical resistance spot welders sold in the U.S. In subsequent years the line broadened to encompass new resistance welding processes with a full line of welding equipment. In 1927, the present corporate name was established.

Solutions for Metalworking & Welding
Today, Taylor-Winfield is an internationally recognized name in metal fabrication equipment, specializing in the development of metal forming and metal joining machinery. Providing the machinery best suited to customers needs, T-W offers custom designs to meet specific production line requirements that are adaptable to a wide range of applications, from simple table top spot welders weighing less than 8 pounds to automated lines and assembly equipment weighing more than 240 tons.

Customer satisfaction is Taylor-Winfield's goal through the continuous improvement of processes, products and services. T-W's emphasis is to utilize all resources; people, research and development, proprietary machines and components to serve industry as a single, responsible source.

 Research & Development
In addition to its Design and Engineering Department, Taylor-Winfield maintains a well staffed and equipped Research and Development Laboratory with more than 40 machines assigned to its exclusive use. Devoted to the continual search for new process techniques and better designs, T-W technicians assist customers with improved, more economical methods of manufacturing high quality products. At customer request, experimental work and processing of samples are also conducted in the T-W labs.

 Customized Design & Engineering Services
To meet customers specific manufacturing and production requirements, Taylor-Winfield has a fully-integrated Design and Engineering Department with sophisticated equipment including online CAD systems with multiple work stations. Application, concept, mechanical and electrical engineering staffs are experienced in diverse processes and their implementation. While T-W engineers often design to single machine requirements, they specialize in combining diverse technologies to solve complex manufacturing problems. This expertise is most apparent in many integrated fabricating lines that achieve high degrees of cost reduction for T-W's customers. Success is more certain when all major elements are designed, engineered, assembled and tested by a company with single-source responsibility.
Of importance equal to its engineering staff are the quality machine tools, the skilled assemblers, technicians and the processing and testing apparatus that translate engineering into high-performance production systems for T-W customers.

 World Class Facilities
Taylor-Winfield brings together a dedicated team of people and modern facilities to provide its customers with design, engineering and manufacturing excellence. To maintain this standard of excellence, T-W continually upgrades its operations.
