Duplex Tangent Benders are ideally suited for high production forming of products supplied in several related shapes and sizes. They are versatile in operation,
readily adjustable for different bend radii and centers and capable of more than 700 operations per hour. Two bends are made per cycle and tooling can be combined to form a crown in the same operation.
Heavy Series Duplex machines, similar to Heavy Series Quadruplex benders without the auxiliary wings, are widely used for washer and dryer shells. The ability to maintain extreme accuracy in the
finished product has also made this model desirable for instrument cabinets and similar products. Both bending wings are independently adjustable to permit positioning for a variety of bending center.
Medium Series Duplex Machines also have adjustable double wings and are capable of handling a wide range of parts where distance between bends varies from 3-in. to 60-in. Widths up to 60-in. and
radii from twice MT to 4-in. are easily accommodated. These machines are typically used for production of such items as luggage frames, air conditioning cabinets, metal furniture components and
transportation equipment. Duplex benders are also available with one fixed and one adjustable wing. This design keeps radius dies, clamp dies and rocker dies integrated with the wings and minimizes
changeover time.
