1. Maximum welding forces are based upon 80 lbs. psi air line pressure and include head weights, but have estimated friction loss subtracted. Minimum welding forces are based upon
10 lbs. psi air line pressure and include head weights but have estimated friction loss subtracted. 2. Ram stroke is adjustable from maximum to zero. 3. Applies to standard electrodes; upper and lower
circumferential and longitudinal; friction, knurl, gear or idling drives. 4. Applies to standard electrodes; upper and lower circumferential and longitudinal; friction, knurl or idling drives.
5. Applies to standard electrodes; upper and lower circumferential and longitudinal gear drives. 6. Applies to flood cooled type. All standard internally cooled electrodes are .750' thick for LS, MS, and HS size
machines. 7. Applies to welding of low carbon steel. Class 1 alloy is supplied for welding aluminum alloys and Class 3 alloy for stainless steel. 8. Lower arm adjustment is upward and downward from normal
position half of the indicted total adjustment.
WELDING SPEEDS of friction or knurl driven wheel are independent of electrode diameters, but speeds of gear driven electrodes vary with electrode diameters and
are based upon average diameters of 6", 7" and 9' for LS, MS, and HS welders respectively. Refer to Dwg. E-486584.
