Applications:
Dual-opposed, hydraulically operated Taylor-Winfield Notching/Punching machines are designed for punching weld identification holes, providing relief for side trim knives and/or contouring the edges to facilitate the joint's travel through succeeding rolls. Diagrams below illustrate three common notch/punch applications, however, notch shapes and hole punch arrangements are available to suit any type of processing line. The "wing" type Notcher/Puncher can be combined with the Combination Flash/Butt Welder for those applications requiring this operation.
