Material and Logistics Coordinator

Job Title: Material and Logistics Coordinator

The Material and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the daily activities involved in shipping capex sales orders, aftermarket spare part orders, and the execution of miscellaneous material logistics activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •       Prepare packages for shipment from Aftermarket / Capex Sales orders.
  •       Loading and unloading of freight using industrial forklifts and overhead cranes.
  •       Run errands using a company vehicle (i.e., make deliveries, pick up parts).
  •       Plan and implement overall shipping strategy.
  •       Suggest Solutions for process optimization.
  •       Negotiate prices for shipment and ensure they are within the project’s budgets.
  •       Cross-check or challenge freight invoices for LTL & small package shipments to ensure accuracy against existing orders.
  •       Work with Aftermarket Spare Parts Specialists to ensure domestic/international shipments have the required and proper documentation at the time of shipment.
  •       Ensures that TW’s shipping processes and procedures comply with domestic and international standards, rules, and regulations. 
  •       Process proper photos and labels for shipments.
  •       Facilitate all aspects of freight. (i.e., BOL, scheduling pickups, etc.) – orchestrating shipments from TW and any pick-up or returns to TW.
  •       Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
  •       Maintain shop housekeeping to desired standards.
  •       Make pallets and wood boxes for both domestic and international shipments.

JOB SUMMARY:  

The mechanical design engineer position requires a highly skilled candidate in machine design and analysis to work in a team environment in the design and manufacture of automated industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, modeling, detailing, and creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) for industrial machinery in a large variety of applications and industries (aerospace, appliance, automotive and transportation, electronics, firearms, medical, metal processing, and mining & farming). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet stringent performance, cost, and quality requirements. The position also requires knowledge of general machine operation, manufacturability of materials and designs, and the ability to design for assembly and manufacture. A successful mechanical design engineer will be technically oriented with strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and model automation machines based on customer specifications and “as sold” proposals

JOB SUMMARY:  The Project Manager/Buyer is the main interface with the customer for Capital Equipment Projects from Point of Order through Shipment, including Warranty and Accounts Receivable.  PM will oversee the planning, execution and tracking of short & long-term projects in the areas of budget, schedule and scope of supply. This role will be responsible for quoting, ordering, and routing parts for customers. The successful candidate must have previous purchasing experience in an OEM environment.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Capital New Equipment Orders from Point of Order through Warranty period, including Accounts Receivable.
  • This may include the following duties:

Review the sales order documentation for scope of work, cost and delivery clarity.

Create a work plan and schedule.

Facilitate internal project gate meetings to communicate project deliverables and work plan to meet Company On-Time Delivery & On Budget in a timely and clear fashion

Maintain project documentation and facilitate communications with all stakeholders.

Serve as the main point of contact with the customer on all communications pertaining to drawing approvals, project status, customer site visits and Factory Acceptance Testing arrangements.

Oversight to ensure compliance with all contractual Terms & Conditions agreed to by Company.

Work with a large external company while simultaneously managing internal processes, responding quickly to changing priorities.

  • Responsibility to manage and record Percentage of Completion (POC) and Cash Flows
  • Spends 5-10% of time exploring growth within Company
  • Request and manage quotes for parts and materials as needed while relaying information to appropriate individuals
  • Provide detailed accurate quotes for parts and materials; ensuring all processes are captured and quote details are accurately reflected by including all pertinent information
  • Maintain effective relationships with suppliers focusing on quality, cost, and delivery
  • Work as the liaison between the suppliers, engineers and project managers for any questions, deviations or issues that may arise
  • Place purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure on time delivery
  • Communicate clear expectations and requirements to suppliers as well as monitor their performance
  • Coordinate shipping for TW supplied materials to suppliers when necessary
  • Follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s), reported against parts and send out for replacement/repair when necessary
  • Run weekly reporting to ensure deliveries, Purchase Order receipts and update Purchase Order comments
  • Support a strong supplier auditing system which will include reporting supplier performance on a quarterly basis to reflect quality and deliver of parts
  • Clear any issues in DocuWare with invoicing related to Purchase Orders
  • Work with Accounts Payable to clear up any unmatched receiving issues
  • Support internal and external customers

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Engineer will be a member of our sales team and focus on developing business opportunities and relationships with new/existing customers with the goal of growing the resistance welding product categories including new Resistance welders, automation of welders, spare parts, and consumable copper sales. The successful candidate will be technically oriented with strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Candidate will be responsible for direct business development activities including, but not limited to, sales prospecting, lead/inquiry handling & data collection, proposal development, presentations, quoted project follow-up, and coordination of Product Group meetings with new/existing customers. The candidate will collaborate directly with internal Sales Application Engineer for Resistance welders and interface regularly with multiple internal Product Groups to help facilitate sales growth and achieve annual sales bookings goals.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Product Management Team to develop annual sales strategy to achieve sales goals and objectives. Specific annual quota to be established in annual performance goals and objectives.
  • Update CRM system for proper tracking of leads, inquiries, and quoted projects from inception through the selling cycle and the capture of analytical data for reporting of new sales opportunities.
  • Provide input to Product Management for new product developments to capture short and long-term market opportunities. Be the Voice of Customer.
  • Interface and communicate with customers for clarification of inquiries and requests for quotation.

 A senior resistance welding engineer requires experience in designing and developing various resistance welding machines. This role requires a deep understanding of welding processes, materials, and equipment, as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills. The senior resistance welding engineer will work in a team environment in the design and manufacture of resistance welding machinery throughout the life staging of the machinery (concepting design and development, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and service). The position also requires comprehensive knowledge of general machine operation, manufacturability of materials and designs, and the ability to design for assembly and manufacture. The individual must be technically oriented with strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. The individual must be able to perform and defend engineering analysis for machinery.   • Conduct thorough feasibility studies and cost analyses for new welding machine projects.
