Automation Integration

Some companies do induction heating, others do automation, but Taylor-Winfield does both. From semi-automated workstations to fully automated parts production systems, we can find an automated solution to achieve your part production goals. By adding automation to your production facility, you can dramatically improve the reliability, repeatability, accuracy and safety of your induction heating process. As a certified system integrator, we combine the latest innovative technologies to develop cutting-edge, world-class solutions for our customer’s manufacturing needs.

Multi-Zone
Automated Heating Station

In this work cell, four zones of the assembly are simultaneously heated to 1350 F to execute the braze of two outer parts onto the main body. The TLF induction power supplies provide each zone independent power and temperature control to prevent overheating.

Semi-Automated Dual Station Induction Barrel Hardening System

In this semi-automated system, multiple sections of the gun barrel are induction heated, air & water quenched, and transported by automated grippers. Vision systems are used to ensure that the right temperatures are being reached throughout the heating process.

Induction
Heating and
Quenching

This process used to be loaded manually so we upgraded our customer’s system by automating the loading process and making it more flexible so that it could run any type of part without a lengthy changeover. Due to the variance in part size, the robot will automatically makes adjustments to the systems depending on what size part it needs to process.

Vertical Induction Scanner

Taylor-Winfield has a long and substantial history of providing the highest quality induction heating machines to the heat-treating industry, and our vertical induction scanners are no exception. Designed with operators’ ease of use in mind, Taylor-Winfield’s latest breakthrough – the InduroScan – is a scalable vertical scanning platform that dramatically reduces cycle time through advanced positioning and motion technologies.
Benefits include:
  • Reduced cycle times by using advanced and motion technologies
  • Rapid part diameter changeover using quick change coil design utilizing SMED principles
  • Increasing system longevity with motion components and guidance systems isolated from quench area
  • Ergonomically designed for ease of operator interface
  • Easy to maintain with conveniently positioned components and maintenance access doors
  • Modular and scalable design allows for flexibility to meet your part and power requirements
