Setting the Benchmark
in Defense Production Equipment & Automated Systems

For decades, Taylor-Winfield Technologies has designed and manufactured welding, automation, induction heating, coil joining equipment, and pipe and tube processing equipment built to perform under demanding conditions. That precision and reliability translate directly to defense manufacturing, where tolerances are tighter, requirements are stricter, and there’s no room for production equipment that lets you down.

Our defense solutions are held to the same standard as everything else we build: designed by experienced engineers, manufactured for long-term performance, and supported by our team well after installation. The capabilities below highlight some of the equipment and expertise we bring to defense manufacturing and infrastructure programs.

Our Solutions

  • Artillery Shell Band Welders for the highest quality material fusion
  • Autofrettage Systems for large diameter gun barrels
  • Laser Ablation Systems for precision material removal and cleaning
  • CNC Spot Welding for consistent, repeatable welds
  • Induction Heating for pre-heating and stress relief
  • Robotic Production Systems for full-line, robotic integration

A Legacy of American Machines Forging Innovation to Meet Critical Military Production Needs

For over six decades, Taylor-Winfield has designed production equipment for the defense sector. That expertise in welding and machine control led to our arc band welder line, introduced in the 1970s and still in use today. Taylor-Winfield is named in MIL-DTL-63245C (with Amendment 3) and US drawing 12982985 Rev C, the rotating band welding procedure for M795 specifications.

Since then, Taylor-Winfield has delivered hundreds of these state-of-the-art machines to a diverse range of clients. By integrating valuable feedback from our customers, we have continuously advanced our machines capabilities, ensuring they remain unparalleled production units.

Whether you’re looking for a band welder, autofrettage system, or a partner to fully automate your line, Taylor-Winfield is the OEM to partner with for a successful project.
